Wix is founded in 2006 and opens its public beta in 2007: a visual canvas on which every page is arranged by hand.
Web Design Automation is born
iRadek develops its proprietary Web Design Automation technology and puts The SoNET Web Engine v2.0 on the Internet for public use. Complete, working websites are no longer built page by page: they are generated, automatically, at more than 300,000 an hour on a single server.
iRadek Software is officially founded
Two like-minded co-founders establish iRadek Software in Henderson, Nevada and make The SoNET Web Engine commercially available.
The hand-built web goes global
Hand-built websites spread worldwide, and with them an industry of designers, theme makers and agencies building and maintaining client sites one by one.
One engine, many websites
Service providers use the SoNET Web Engine to run whole families of websites from a single installation, serving users in more than 180 countries.
The industry turns to automation
Wix introduces ADI, its first major step toward assembling website layouts automatically, nine years after the SoNET Web Engine went live.
Automation meets AI
Automatic layouts, AI writing tools and AI site builders spread across the industry. A generated website becomes the one people expect.
Artificial intelligence on board
AI joins the engine: Site Studio creates a new website from a few words, a Webmaster AI works alongside the site owner, and a Concierge answers visitors from the site’s own pages.
Home at last
Nineteen years after it began, iRadek.com itself moves the last of its own web properties onto The SoNET Web Engine.
